I know it’s been forever since we last updated. Time has really flown by! Hannah has grown so much – I feel like I can’t even describe how much. She’s definitely not a baby anymore. She’s become this li’l toddler who’s almost 20 months old! She walks, runs, talks, tantrums, plays pretend, & eats everything (even though she still only has 8 teeth! – she’s a bit of a late teether).
In honor of her almost 20th month of life, here are 20 fun facts about our Happy Hannah:
1. Her best buddy is her “big brother”, Linus (whom she often calls “dog-dog”, which is her translation of the korean word for dog, “mong-mong”). She loves to feed him treats, put out his food, give him sticks to chew on, throw his ball, & walk with his leash.
2. She can make most of the farm animal sounds (for cow, sheep, duck, horse, etc.), as well as a few wild animals too (lion, wolf, bear, etc.).
3. Her favorite TV shows are Barney, Sesame Street, Curious George, & Arthur.
4. Up until recently, she used to call her belly button, “Obama”! We have no idea why, but it was so darn funny!
She doesn’t call it that anymore, but she still loves to point out her belly button!
5. For months, she used to give a little laugh to express her “yes”. Now she says “yesh”!
6. She continues to have the funniest facial expressions (ever since she was a baby). Her favorite funny face to put on is her scrunched up nose look.
7. She LOVES Elmo, bubbles, play-doh, balls, music/dancing, cars/trucks/buses/planes, shoes, bags, & doors (in fact, for a long time, her word for “open” was “door”. she made “door” into a verb!).
8. She really enjoys looking at pictures, slideshows, & watching youtube videos on the computer.
9. She likes to eat peppermint candy (thanks to her peggy eemo!).
10. She’s a major water baby. She LOVES bathtime & swimming.
11. She’s also an outdoors baby. The cure-all to her fussing or crying is to take her outside. She can play outside for HOURS!
12. She likes to hop, hop, hop! (but she still doesn’t get much air under her feet! no vertical yet!)
13. When she sees herself in the mirror, she says, “I see me!”, & then she makes funny faces at herself (she’s a closet ham, just like her daddy!).
14. When she answers the phone, she says “Ya-yo!” (translation: “Hi, how are you?”)
15. We think she might be slightly klepto! When we were leaving our friend’s house, she swiped a pack of crackers & put them behind her back. When I asked her if she had something in her hand, she said “no”! Can you believe her???
16. We think she’s also part-monkey. She climbs EVERYthing!
17. When she’s walking or running around, you’ll often see her clasp her hands behind her back (like an old grandma) or put her arms straight back like she’s flying.
18. She likes to stalk older children. She’ll follow an older kid, especially a girl, everywhere.
19. She’s very helpful with household chores, such as unloading the dishwasher, cleaning the floor (either with a swiffer, rag, or dustpan), & wiping down the table.
20. She gives the best big hugs & kisses!
We’re enjoying every minute we have with Hannah. Life with her keeps getting better and funner! We could say even more about Hannah, but we wouldn’t want to bore you any further!
